What We Want To Do
Youth Education and Advocacy Association is an organization that helps familiarize members about issues in our society, and prompts them to take action regarding these issues. Our organization’s mission is to recognize problems in our society, inform our members about them, hold essential discussions, and institute programs contributing to the benefit of the community (donation projects).
MEET THE TEAM
ANEESH GOTTIMUKULA
Projects Lead
Aneesh is a North Carolina native. Since he was little, he has had an interest in STEM, Politics, and Leadership. He also loves giving back to his community. He participates in numerous volunteering opportunities, qualified for nationals in his Science Fair, is a board member of his school’s MUN, and participates in robotics. To relax, Aneesh loves to go on bike rides, listen to the news, and learn how to cook.
DANIEL XIE
Projects Lead

Daniel was born in Canada and moved here before the 6th grade. As a highschooler, he is interested in volunteering to help his community and participating in any STEM related activities. Subsequently, he is a captain for his Science Olympiad Team and also a board member for his school’s MUN and Key Club. In his spare time, he loves to make bacon grilled cheese sandwiches and play Minecraft.
ANJALI OOMEN
Educational Aspect Lead

Anjali joined Youth Education and Advocacy Association with the vision and drive to help out the local community. She is focused on educating people to spread awareness on different social issues. She is a member of Model UN and loves to ride bikes and read mystery novels in her free time.
SHREYA RAVINDRA
Social Media Lead

Shreya joined Youth Education and Advocacy Association to help with creating a more diverse and inclusive community. As an avid artists, her posts have helped to gain traction on social media to capture the attention and educate people all over the community. She likes to dance in her free time.
ABOUT
How We Started
YEAA started when one of the now-Board Members contacted several people that would be interested in giving back to our community. We brainstormed several topics that are prevalent in today’s world and came up with ways to alleviate the impact they have in our area. Over time we educated ourselves on the issues and decided to establish ourselves amongst our peers. Please join us if you want to be a part of the future of YEAA!
THE FUTURE
YEAA wants to expand our member base so that we can have a greater positive impact on our community. We plan to accomplish this goal by expanding our social media presence. In the future, we want to work with representatives to voice our members' stances on various societal issues. Simultaneously, we want to expand our donation projects and increase the benefits of our service programs. Please join us to make our vision a reality.
